About US

GMC&T was established by Ben Classen. It had been a dream of his since he took his own NCCCO training class back in 2007. In February 2020 he was finally able to make that dream become a reality.

Why We Chose NCCCO

We chose NCCCO for national certification as they have been considered the “gold standard” for over 25 years. They are recognized by federal OSHA as meeting OSHA and ANSI (ASME) requirements. In addition to holding safety to its highest standards.

About Your Instructor

Ben Classen was born and raised in the crane industry.  The year he was born his father, Michael Classen, bought his first crane and established Classen’s Crane Service.  His father always had him around the cranes and at the age of 12 had him start operating.  Cranes quickly became a passion for Ben.  He loved how they handled and the variety of jobs they could withstand.  He worked for his father through his high school years.  After high school Ben got his Diesel Technician Degree at Ohio Tech.  It wasn’t long after though that he made his way back into the operator seat. For a couple years he even operated in the Bridge Construction Industry.  In the years following Ben became Vice President and co-owner of Classen’s Crane Service with his father.  He  now has been a NCCCO certified crane operator for 15 years, has been working in the industry for 25 years and has been a business owner in the industry for 12 years.

“A note to thank Ben and Lindsey Classen for there crane training for the NCCCO certification.

The classroom and review got right to the point.  All essential areas of crane operations were covered.  It was a small class which gave it a personal touch, BIG HELP.

Ben was asked many detailed questions throughout the day by all of us. He answered without hesitation.  Very professional.

Study material and practice exams were available prior to the course.  The practical exam was what we were expecting, 100% professional.

Ben and Lindsey thru in a very positive atmosphere which helped all of us to relax.  Very important and thank you.”
